Fleetwood Mac Tickets - About Fleetwood Mac
Fleetwood Mac was created from the remnants of the Bluesbreakers in the late 1960’s. Their specialty was blues music, British style, and when they premiered at the British Jazz and Blues Festival, they were given a record contract very soon after. They had hits like “Black Magic Woman” and “Albatross” up through 1970. Unfortunately, the band was not nearly as popular in the United States. On their first tour in the U.S., they were billed behind Jethro Tull and Joe Cocker. In May 1970, when Peter Green left the band to pursue other interests, the band abandoned its bluesy sound and began to include more rock. Over time, the lineup changed, losing musicians and gaining new ones. Eventually, Fleetwood Mac developed the sound we know and love, and their song “You Can Go Your Own Way” and “Don’t Stop” off the album Rumours went to numbers ten and three on the charts, respectively. Much later, in 1997, the band recorded The Dance, a documentary from a concert. With a tour following hard on the heels of the album’s release, Fleetwood Mac was as popular as ever.
